Who is the Pilot and Who is the Nurse? Unusual Couple Leaves the Grind to Start New Drinks Company in Oxfordshire
THE FOUNDERS
James and Adele are both professionals in their own right. James has previously been a police officer, a personal trainer, and spent 12 years as a Emergency and Pre-Hospital Nurse in the Royal Air Force. Adele has spent the last 15 years as a helicopter pilot flying mostly air ambulance operations in Canada and Kenya. She now flies as a charter and VIP pilot in the UK. They have decided to take a leap of faith and start their own company.
After some pivotal life changing events, they now have a set about disrupting the ready-to-drink market with a new take on an old idea. As lovers of the outdoors, and both active individuals, they were tired of the current drinks on the market and couldn’t find quite what they were looking for... so they decided to make it themselves! They have created a bespoke canned vodka soda with added lime oil and just released cranberry and grapefruit flavours as well.
ADELE'S JOURNEY
Adele flying in Kenya
Adele started flying in Canada in 2009 and had been on the adventure ever since. She has flown celebrities, politicians, and saved lives getting people to the hospital on the worst day of their lives.
She appreciates having a way to wind down after a stressful day which includes the occasional social drink. Looking for options that didn’t have sugar or were loaded with calories, her and James developed their canned vodka soda.
Marabou Club Drinks looks to provide an alternative to all the other canned drinks on the market by offering a refreshing, sugar free beverage with a hint of flavour. The flagship flavour lime has been a hit and they just released cranberry and grapefruit flavours which will not disappoint!

They have made their mark this summer by participating in horse trials events, popping up in VIP airport lounges, boutique community shops, as well as in the luxury transportation market, they plan to expand their current footprint and breakout at more events in 2025. They are also participating in a London Pop-Up shop on Regent Street so there is a lot for them to look forward to before 2024 comes to a close!

James has spent the past 2 decades in public service and is ready for a change. From personal training, to the police, to nursing, he has always looked to serve society and make a lasting impact. He has been to remote parts of the globe to provide emergency care for military personnel, was a lead clinician on ambulances during the COVID pandemic, and ran his own PT business. After some life changes, he is ready to shift gears and share their new drink!
